Love At The US Naval Academy In Annapolis, Johnathan And Jackie

She met her future husband, Johnathan Hathaway, and they graduated from the Academy in the same year.

Local scholar Jackie Loyola graduated from Pacifica High School receiving the rare, coveted and special Congressional Award for a full ride scholarship to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Since graduating, for the last 2 years, she has been stationed in Japan and Jonathan has been in Florida. When she was home on leave for 2 weeks. Jonathan sent her out to find the perfect engagement ring. She chose to come to The George Thompson Diamond Co. by her mother's recommendation.

When asked how he proposed to her, Jackie revealed that she loved going to the Ronald Reagan museum, and he invited her to go there for her 3rd time. Arriving there before it opened Jonathan said, "Let's go to the garden". Riding in the same car with them were her immediate family; her mom, Lalaine, her dad, Salvador, and her sister, Abbie. While walking around the garden, Jackie heard some noisy chatter in the background and as she looked around, there was her grandmother, Claridad, being pushed in her wheelchair, and behind her were all of Jackie's extended family. She saw her uncles, aunts, and cousins. Then on cue, Jonathan got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, right in front of everyone.
Afterward, coming with Jackie's mom to The George Thompson Diamond Co. and with the assistance of our Vice President of Sales, Terry Lopez, they selected one of newly designed rose gold wedding sets. Jackie then called her dad, Salvador, who had been given a 3 diamond ring, from his father to be passed down. She asked him if she could use the center diamond from that ring for her new wedding set. He then came over to our store with his father's ring, along with her mother and sister. They all watched our Master Jeweler, Frank Gonzales, set Jackie's grandfather's center diamond in the newly named Loyola wedding set.
