The Story Behind Our Lucky LA Pendant

October baseball is here again, and so is the piece our customers ask about every fall.
If you’ve ever stopped by our store in Camarillo during baseball season, you already know: we bleed blue around here.
My dad and I have been Dodgers fans for as long as I can remember. Baseball has always been something our family shares, and so is jewelry. George Thompson Diamond Co. has been family-owned since 1977, and the same people who cheer together in the stands are the ones designing and making the pieces in our cases.
How the Lucky LA Pendant Started
When the Dodgers won the 2024 World Series, we wanted to celebrate the way we know best: by making something. Because we manufacture our own jewelry in-house, we didn’t have to wait on a supplier or settle for something generic. We designed our own LA pendant, made it ourselves, and released it as a limited piece for fans who wanted to carry that season with them.
The response from our customers was incredible, so when baseball came back in 2025, so did the pendant.
A Night We’ll Never Forget
Charlie and I were in the stands the night the Dodgers clinched their spot in the NLCS. Moments like that are exactly why we made this pendant. It’s not just a necklace. It’s a way to keep a memory you’ll want to hold onto for the rest of your life.
Back-to-Back, On and Off the Field
2025 was a special year for us. The Dodgers went back-to-back, and so did we: our community voted George Thompson Diamond Co. Ventura County’s Best Jewelry Store for the second year in a row in the Community’s Choice Awards. To everyone who voted for us and has supported our family since 1977, thank you. It means the world.

- Stones: sparkling white diamonds or rich blue sapphires (the sapphires are our favorite for a true Dodger blue)
- Gold: 14k yellow gold or 14k white gold
- Size: 15mm for an everyday piece, or 1 inch for a bolder statement
